Thank you Tuvie for featuring my project!
Virtuo Digital Art Tool Set gives you the freedom to express your feeling without having to worry about the skills or materials wasted. Virtuo combines elements of traditional art and the latest technology to promote creative development in novice or amateur artists. This digital art tool set consists of a digital palette, charger, and five digital art tools that work on the principle of electromagnetism and therefore do not require batteries. Virtuo works by taking advantage of the latest sensor technology to communicate with an interactive pen display and a computer and translate the user’s gestures into visual output. So, why don’t you start digging deeper into yourself to find that creative artist hidden inside you with this cool art technology?

Sardinian beach: SOLD!!!
While the generous buyer of the painting preferred to remain anonymous and they do not even know Mat personally, we are extremely thankful and wishing them all the best things in life. Your help in this cause is very much appreciated. Thank you for being an example of generosity, understanding and compassion.
May the good things you do for others come back to you a thousand times!

Sneak Peek
Some of the work I will be showing and selling at the Tattoo Convention this year. More work and more details about the show are coming soon!
Artful Agenda Yearly Planners
Some of my recent work was published in these useful art-packed planners by Artful Agenda!
These planners were a collaboration between several artists from all over the world. Every page of the planner has different bits of art, from ink monsters to portraits to abstract pieces! A percentage of the profits from the sales of the agendas are given to public schools, giving this project a purpose other than organizing your daily life.
I got two of these planners and I have to tell you: they are a work of art themselves! And it feels good to know that some people in need will benefit from this project too.
You can purchase your agenda on the Artful Agenda Website.

My Work in Applied Arts Magazine
This post is a bit late as the issue of the magazine came out in the mid June, but it is still available for purchase at any Chapters or Indigo store!
Ink Visions is a series of illustrations that were inspired by the unique patterns of ink droplets in water. The illustrations were completed using a digital drawing tablet. Ink Visions celebrate the wonderful discoveries we may encounter if we let our imagination loose!
These works are available in my online store as bookmarks, postcards or posters.

Back from Italy with New Ispiration!
Yes, I am back and I am eager to produce more artwork! My inspiration trip consisted of traveling around Sardinia, an Italian island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. I have never seen such beautiful beaches, mountains and skies. Take a look at just a couple of images I captured during the trip. Oh, and stay tuned for new work!
Yet another Virtuo link
Ah, it is so frustrating to see people liking this idea, but never being able to actually make it a reality. Take a look at the link below. Virtuo is in a top 5 list of incredible ideas that never made it to market?
The problem is that it was a student project, thoroughly worked out and tested but lacking the funds to take it to the next level.
Why can't I get the funds? Everyone wants to see a working prototype. While I do have a partially working visual model, it does not have all the functions Virtuo would have when produced at a mass scale. It is quote understandable since the time and money available for this project during university was very limited. However, this idea has thorough research and user testing backing it up. I worked with leading specialists in the field of design, electrical engineering and user experience to develop this concept.
This product was entered in several competitions and the reason it never it went further was once again the absence of a fully working prototype. I would love to make one, but with the level of complexity of this project and being just one person, it is practically impossible to do it without the help from others.
So it is a vicious circle: in order to get any money support to develop this project, I need to show a working prototype. But in order to make a fully working prototype I need money. Therefore this project is still a concept, awaiting someone who is interested enough to take a small risk and help me in this struggle.
If anyone has any thoughts on this or can help, please contact me here. I would very much appreciate any advice.
Thank you.

Check out the working prototype of Virtuo Digital Art Tool Set below! After a worldwide response to this concept product, I would love to team up with an interested partner to develop this product.
Retro Girl, Blushing and Fire Girl win Applied Arts Magazine Conceptual Illustration Award!
Included in a series named "Ink Visions", these works will be published in the June edition of Applied Arts Magazine, posted on the magazine website and included in the Year End Show in Toronto. I am extremely grateful for this recognition and excited to visit Toronto at the end of 2010!
New Watercolour Paintings in the Shop Section!
Click on the picture above to take a look at some of my newest work! I was finally able to get back into watercolours - my favourite medium that I did not touch for too many years. I am currently taking a very inspiring watercolour class so you can count on more paintings in the near future.
I am not selling these paintings on Etsy: drop me a line if you are interested to purchase any of my watercolours.
New Threadless Submission to help raise money for Perspective Gallery
This t-shirt design is made of 100 ink spatters turned into different characters to celebrate Threadless' 10th anniversary. The 100th spatter is left blank so that the person who buys the shirt can turn it into their own creation using black and white permanent markers.
If this design wins, 10% of winnings will be donated to keep Perspective Gallery open. Please vote for this design below!
